SISTAC - Bringing smart students and social start-ups in Sub-Saharan Africa together
The Bayer Foundation’s Social Impact Start-up Academy (SISTAC) kicked off last week. 18 participating master students from Germany got the opportunity to meet with five inspiring and innovative start-ups from Sub-Saharan Africa.
In September, the Bayer Foundation and the Social Impact Start-up Academy (SISTAC) will kick off the 5th round of their action learning program – an academic project that matches master students with social entrepreneurs from emerging Sub-Saharan Africa.
“iBreastExam is a great startup story,” says Stefan Wilhelm, Program Manager Social Impact at Bayer Foundation. “The hand-held device allows healthcare workers to perform breast examinations even in remote areas of developing countries. It takes just a couple of minutes, and provides real-time results via a mobile app.
