The Covid-19 lockdown has made it difficult to reach people face-to-face with health information. Supported by the Bayer Foundation, the ARCTEC team at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is now organizing a mobile messaging service in Mali to help fight Covid-19 whilst also preventing a rise in malaria cases.
Trees can create livelihood: opportunities for Malian farmers
Rokiatou Traoré is on track to economically empower 5,000 farmers (of which 65% women and youth) in Mali by the end of 2023, while demonstrating their ability to become successful entrepreneurs. Through her company Herou Alliance, Rokiatou will support them to plant over 100,000 Moringa trees this year. The income they generate through planting Moringa trees, benefits themselves, their families, their communities and their environment.
