In a world increasingly confronted by the intricate challenges posed by climate change, we have supported AVPN and Dalberg Advisers in the creation of the ‘Climate and Health Opportunity Primer’ to highlight the need for social investments to support climate adaptation related to human health. The document identifies opportunities for financial and non-financial support that can be deployed by social investors such as philanthropies, impact investors, and socially responsible corporate investors.

Winners of the Thrombosis Research Award: Dr. Annemieke ter Telgte and Dr. Kami Pekayvaz

The independent expert jury has unanimously decided to award the Bayer Thrombosis Research Award 2025 to the two outstanding researchers, Dr. Annemieke ter Telgte and Dr. Kami Pekayvaz, and to distribute the prize money accordingly. Dr. Annemieke ter Telgte is being honored for her research on small vessel diseases in the brain. Dr. Kami Pekayvaz is recognized for his groundbreaking research in translational thrombosis research.

How Dedicated Community Health Workers Are Reaching Madagascar’s Unvaccinated Children

In rural southern Madagascar, where financial poverty and geographic isolation make healthcare access challenging, Community Health Workers (CHWs) are crucial in vaccinating children who would otherwise miss out. Doctors for Madagascar (DfM) aims to vaccinate at least 40,000 children by March 2026, targeting an 80 percent reduction in unvaccinated children across three regions of southern Madagascar. We have supported Doctors for Madagascar’s community healthcare program through our Social Innovation Ecosystem Fund.
